Day 01: Arrival in Varanasi – The Evening Ganga Aarti Experience
Your transformative journey begins as you arrive in the ancient city of Varanasi, one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world and the spiritual capital of India. Upon arrival at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport or Varanasi Railway Station, you will be warmly received by our representative and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. After check-in and a brief period of rest, prepare to witness one of India’s most mesmerizing spiritual rituals.
As dusk descends, you will be escorted to the famed Dashashwamedh Ghat, located near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Here, experience the Ganga Aarti, a vibrant and soul-stirring Hindu ritual performed by priests with synchronized chants, conch shells, incense, and lamps in honor of the Ganges River. The ceremony symbolizes purification, devotion, and respect for life-giving waters.
For a more enchanting experience, you may opt to witness the Aarti from a rowboat or motorboat on the Ganges—a perspective that offers panoramic views of the illuminated ghats and flickering oil lamps floating on the river.
